Brighton Vs Chelsea

Chelsea Fight Back to Win 3-2 over Brighton in Thrilling Encounter

Chelsea End Five-Game Winless Streak Against Brighton

Own Goals and Ziyech Strike Help Blues Secure Rare Stamford Bridge Victory

Chelsea returned to winning ways at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, overcoming a spirited Brighton side 3-2 in a pulsating Premier League clash.

Despite winning 10 of their first 11 league games against Brighton, Chelsea had been winless in their last five encounters against the Seagulls. However, that streak came to an end in dramatic fashion.

Leandro Trossard gave Brighton an early lead with a fine strike in the first half. However, Ruben Loftus-Cheek's unfortunate own goal leveled the scores before Trevoh Chalobah unintentionally turned the ball into his own net to give Chelsea a 2-1 advantage.

Hakim Ziyech extended Chelsea's lead in the second half, but Alexis Mac Allister pulled one back for Brighton to set up a tense finish. Ultimately, Chelsea held on for a crucial victory.

The result moves Chelsea up to 10th in the Premier League standings, while Brighton remains in ninth place. Both sides will be looking to build on their performances in the coming weeks as they aim for a strong finish to the season.
