Knicks Take 2-0 Series Lead Over 76ers

Sixers' Late Lead Vanishes in Game 2 Loss

Game 3 Moves to Philadelphia

NEW YORK - The New York Knicks have taken a commanding 2-0 lead in their first-round playoff series against the Philadelphia 76ers after a thrilling 102-98 victory in Game 2 on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden.

In a game that saw both teams rally from double-digit deficits, the Knicks ultimately prevailed thanks to a late surge led by Julius Randle and RJ Barrett.

The Sixers had a chance to tie the game with less than a minute remaining, but Joel Embiid's three-point attempt rimmed out. Randle then sealed the win with a pair of free throws with 18.9 seconds left.

Embiid led the 76ers with 35 points and 10 rebounds, while Tyrese Maxey added 25 points. Randle paced the Knicks with 24 points, followed by Barrett with 23 points and Jalen Brunson with 18 points.

The series now shifts to Philadelphia for Games 3 and 4. Game 3 is set for Friday night at the Wells Fargo Center.
